Workshops and Group Programs

This option includes:

  • In-person group therapy to support student mental health;
  • Best practice approaches for depression, anxiety, stress and interpersonal relationships;
  • An opportunity to develop a sense of community and resiliency;
  • Referral by a therapist to a group that fits your interests and needs.

We host regular wellness group activities that are aimed at empowering students and foster resilience. These sesions are facilitated by professional counsellors and peer counsellors to provide an opportunity for students to learn, share and connect in a safe and confidential space with a small group of peers through different wellness themes.

These programs are available to students who are registered in at least one course at the University of Ottawa. Couples are also welcome to join on a voluntary basis if one of the participants meets the above eligibility criteria.

While registration is not required, students must arrive at the start time to prevent disruptions.
